The Second House in Astrology

The Astrology Podcast - En podcast af Chris Brennan

In episode 461 astrologers Chris Brennan and Leisa Schaim do an in-depth exploration of the meaning of the second house in astrology, and explain what it signifies in a birth chart by looking at dozens of celebrity examples. In traditional astrology the second house is associated with the material world, and encompasses topics such as money, possessions, livelihood, and financial stability. It represents the descent into the material realm, because the second house is the sign that follows the rising sign, and in the whole sign house system it is the first sign after the Ascendant that is fully submerged under the earth. We open the episode by talking about the significations of the 2nd house in general, and then move into looking at example charts starting with planets in the 2nd house, followed by looking at the ruler of the Ascendant in the 2nd house, and then finally looking at the rulers of the houses in association with the second house.
