Is Your Faith About Relationship or Rules?

Hey friends! In today's episode we will be in Matthew 12:1-14 where the Pharisees try to trap Jesus and His disciples by calling them out for "working" on the Sabbath. Jesus gives them a response of "I desire mercy not sacrifice." So...what does that mean? It means that Jesus desires your heart over the rules you followed. The Pharisees are a prime example of people who, outwardly, followed the "rules" and did what wad right. And yet in their hearts, they sinned. They judged unrighteously. They were prideful. They were self-seeking.  And they totally missed the greatness and power right in front of them that was Jesus Christ! Jesus wants your heart. And when He genuinely has it from you, you naturally will do works and produce good fruit. But it all comes from a relationship with Jesus. What is your faith more like: a relationship? Or one that is just a set of rules?Check out my website for e-workbooks, courses, apparel,  and info on God Is Within Her Mentoring Community and 1-on-1 Faith + Mindset coaching for women with me!Work with me // www.valreynolds.comConnect with me // @val_reynoldsCollab with me // [email protected] the showWork with me // www.valreynolds.comConnect with me // @val_reynoldsCollab with me // [email protected]
