Ep. 30: Breastfeeding twins and triplets, with Kathryn Stagg IBCLC

Our special guest on the podcast this week is IBCLC and holistic sleep coach Kathryn Stagg, who set up and runs the Breastfeeding Twins and Triplets UK charity. Kathryn specialises in feeding multiples, and she herself is a parent four boys including identical twins. She created the popular Facebook group Breastfeeding Twins and Triplets UK several years ago, and has now turned this into a charity-run organisation supporting families across Great Britain. Kathryn tells us about her own breastfeeding journey with her twins and how it motivated her to become a breastfeeding peer supporter and ultimately train to be an IBCLC. As well as offering advice and practical top tips for preparing to breastfeed twins or triplets, Kathryn also provides invaluable information around things like positioning babies for feeds, tandem feeding and breastfeeding in public. Kathryn finishes by telling us about what led her to write her first book about breastfeeding multiples - released early next year! She also announces exciting news about how Breastfeeding Twins and Triplets UK will be expanding the service and support they offer families.
