The Deadpod - En podcast af J.Henrikson - Fredage
Prepare to be psychedelicized this week as we listen to set 2 of the Dead's performance at the Fillmore West in San Francisco on June 7, 1970. The boys take us right to the deep end with a Cryptical to open set 2, then blow into a great Other One, and back into Cryptical. Drums then take us into a rare 'The Main Ten' jam before we get to hear the very first 'Sugar Magnolia'. Pigpen is in fine form on 'It's A Man's World' (and later on the set closing Good Lovin'). Sittin' On Top of the World is a treat to my ears, and who doesn't smile when they get to hear 'Cosmic Charlie'? I think you'll enjoy this one from a year that we have far too few good recordings. There are a few cuts, but hey, its 52 years ago...
