 Drugs are a constant feature in our modern daily life. Whether it’s the legal drugs peddled by pharmaceutical companies or the illegal ones off the street, their wonders and dangers are constantly with us. We live on dopeworld, a global trade fueled by the desire and need to get high. So how does dopeworld look to a former drug dealer? And how does the history of drugs connect the United States, Russia, the Philippines and virtually every other corner of the planet? Niko Vorobyov, a former drug dealer himself, gives his insider’s view. Guest: Niko Vorobyov was born in Leningrad, Russia, before moving to Great Britain. From 2013-2014 he served a two-and-a-half year sentence for Possession with Intent to Supply. Upon his release, he graduated from University College London and began working at a Russian news outlet, , before putting together his media, academic, and under-the-counter expertise to write a book.
