Ironically, on the same day that New York District Attorney Alvin Bragg dropped charges against many of the antisemitic protestors who ransacked Columbia University, June 20, 2024, more than 600 Jewish and Christian participants gathered inside the Palladium Theater in New York City’s Times Square to rally against the global scourge of antisemitism. The event, organized by Chosen People Ministries, was entitled “Oppose Antisemitism: Stop the Hate.” Guest host Adam McManus interviews Rich Flashman, a Jewish man who trusted Jesus as his Messiah and is now the leader of the Manhattan, New York branch of Chosen People Ministries which was founded 130 years ago to bring the Gospel to the Jews. In the first half of today’s Generations Radio podcast, you’ll hear his intriguing testimony of how God used Isaiah 53 and the bold evangelistic witness of a fellow college student at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst to bring Flashman to Christ. According to the Anti Defamation League, in the three months following the October 7th massacre in Israel when Hamas attacked, there were 3,291 U.S. antisemitic incidents. That’s a whopping 361% increase between October 8, 2023 and January 7, 2024 compared to the same time period the year before. Dr. Michael Brown, a Jewish believer in Jesus and the host of The Line of Fire radio program, spoke to the 4 Satanic reasons why Jews have been hated. 1. God chose the Jewish people for a special mission which Satan wants to thwart. 2. God has guaranteed the Jewish people’s ongoing existence, so Satan seeks their annihilation. 3. God promised the land of Israel to the Jewish people, so Satan wants to drive them out. 4. The Messiah is returning to a Jewish Jerusalem, so Satan wants it out of Jewish hands Brown insisted, “The purposes of God will stand and Satan will be defeated in Yeshua’s name!” Plus, you’ll hear the powerful song by Christian musician Aaron Shust entitled “Jerusalem” which is based on Psalm 122. Albert Einstein declared, “If I were to remain silent, I’d be guilty of complicity.” Here are 5 ways you can bless the Jews. 1. Pray for the Jewish people and encourage churches to pray at a main service.2. Speak out against local acts of antisemitism.3. Take action through public demonstrations, rallies, lectures, and social media in support of the Jewish community.4. Demonstrate support for Jewish students on local college campuses.5. Support Jewish friends and visit a local synagogue to let them know, “I am praying for your safety.” (make it personal) If you are an undergraduate or graduate college student, or you have a child or grandchild who is, consider attending the free Courage Conference at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago between August 15-18.
