The Lake ❤️Alice: Arash Pandi

The experimental music scene in Iran is blooming these years. Arash Pandi is just one example of many new Iranian experimental musicians and sound artists, who through concerts, events, and teaching are trying to show the Iranian people what the exploration and experience of abstract music and sound can do and tell. On October 10 2019, the Iranian-born and Copenhagen-based experimental sound artist, Arash Pandi, performed at ALICE cph with his current audiovisual project called ‘Exotic Paradox’. In this program you will hear about Arash Pandi and how he works with the traditional Iranian music and Persian classical music, first to understand it for then to show how it can tell a different story through his flourishing and massive layers of dark ambient sound and textures.
