Why The Glute Bridge Is A BAD Rehab Exercise!

You might want to think twice about using this common hip exercise! The glute bridge is probably the most used hip rehab exercise in physio. But did you know that most therapists use it incorrectly... Often with patients that do not need an exercise like the glute bridge! Even worse than that... The glute bridge can actually be detrimental to some patients, especially when you consider how most therapists coach this exercise when they instruct their patient to 'push through their heel.' Listen to this week's podcast to find exactly what I am talking about and ensure that you do not make the same mistake that 9 out of 10 therapists are making when rehabbing patients with hip, lower back and knee pain. It might make you think again about giving another patient a glute bridge ever again in your rehab programmes! Enjoy the show! PS. Andy would love to hear your feedback on this podcast.
