Rachel Cook is the Founder of Seeds (seedsgives.com), a cryptocurrency mutual aid ecosystem which has helped people in need in 30 countries and counting, with a focus on women. Rachel was a career-profitable pro stock trader in Chicago and on Wall Street before the misogyny drove her to quit. She began buying Bitcoin at ~$90 a coin, and was extremely excited about blockchain technology's potential to transcend the discrimination baked into the old system. However, she was forced to sell her Bitcoin in 2013 to keep Seeds alive, largely because misogyny in venture capital means that 98.1% of investment dollars go to men. Rachel hopes that one day Seeds will render venture capital obsolete.
