The Secret Teachings 1/15/21 - Black Mirror Mirror on the Wall

Scientists have recently developed liquid metal, circuits and microchips, along with having discovered liquid glass, suggesting that mirrors may one day act as real portals to other realms. Today, as always, they are the means by which we view the past, present and future. Unlike magic mirrors in myth and fairy tales that cannot tell lies, modern black mirrors like televisions and phones are portals for artificially constructed framed realities that are anything except true. These mirrors have become doorways into an upside down world of confusion, pain and suffering, in preventing us from seeing our true reflection, an image of the true self that remains hidden until we switch these devices off. Whereas magical mirrors help to guide our journey into the subconscious for the purpose of growth, black monitors guide our journey deeper into decay through the rabbit hole or Plato's Cave. Although when we stare into the abyss it gazes into us, we have a divine duty to reject the false projections of darkness and find truth reflected from the real self. Mirrors are portals to other states of mind, and one day, perhaps, other dimensions.
