Scientific rationality is the new calling card of the Satanic Temple. Although many reject the ST on the grounds that it is diabolically evil, the reality seems instead to be that the ideology at its core is concerned with materialism and shock value. In other words, it's a sort of unvirtuous satanic signaling. Still, materialism is in essence a belief in a Devil. All things associated in popular culture with such a character are making their way into popular as well as private culture. Television shows, movies, and books abound about blood-drinking, cannibalism, invoking demons, and glorifying vampires. The intended audiences also seem to be getting younger. While the youth are taught how to summon demons with 'A Children's Book of Demons' or taught in school to chant the name of an Aztec god of human sacrifice and illusion - Tezkatlipoka - adults are entertained by celebrities playing the part of a vampire or zombie in movies/television shows, or in real life as many have worn or consumed the blood of their partner in what seems to be more than publicity stunts. Others are cautious about their interest in using the blood of the youth for their own regenerative processes.
