Halloween is fun for some and terrifying for others. While some celebrate the day others condemn the holiday - holy day - as a Satanic ruse. Ironically, the origins of many traditions, from costumes and trick-or-treating to carved pumpkins and bonfires, relate to the warding off of darkness, cold, and therefore evil. Whereas some see the holy day rooted in human sacrifice, historically it was a day to commune with loved ones and honor the dead.
