Recently published research out of New Zealand documented that 20% of DNA-sweep samples taken from Loch Ness in Scotland were unidentified, even leaving out well known creatures known to live in the area. Rather than disproving the existence of an aquatic cryptid, the data points once more to the limitless possibilities in nature and the limits of human scientific endeavors. Weather the Loch Ness Monster or Mothman and the Chupacabra, believers in these creatures hold their faith as strongly as so-called skeptics, both of which tend to believe or disbelieve based on dogma rather than fact. As a result, science is used as a weapon against reality rather than a tool to understand the fabric of nature and all that is mysterious and unexplained.
