Rand Paul’s plea with the American people was one of the best examples of leadership that could have been displayed by any government official. Dr. Fauci‘s response, and his subsequent musings about ignoring your liberty, is one of the best examples of authoritarianism in the 21st-century. A two week mitigation process not only increased the profits a big corporations by billions, while shutting down small businesses, and it not only lead to the unnecessary deaths of tens of millions of people from starvation, but it cultivated an entirely new disease of the mind. It turned ordinary every day citizens into dark seekers. The silver lining here, though, is that it allowed us to see who the real authoritarians are, and who the real leaders are, and therefore it presents us with an opportunity for more easily defending the republic.Darkseekers, the monsters in I am Legend, are said to feel empowered by the Krippin virus seeing the uninfected as vicious monster that must be destroyed. This analogy has now been taken by mainstream media and distorted, with the NYT claiming that people believe medicine will turn them into zombies. Nevertheless, those who lead with emotion over fact, who utilize ad hominem rather than reason, who are in a perpetually adolescent state of defiance, are those who suffer from psychological delusions, lying, narcism, and the full scale of the dark triad of personality traits.
