548: How To Deal With Doubt

We all carry doubt.  Even the most polished and pretty people on the internet. For real. In recent months, a number of people have applauded the ways I’ve shown up online and in my business over the last year.  Friends - it is NOT without doubt from time to time.  I have doubt on a fairly regular basis, especially when things around me feel out of my control and unpredictable. So, you know, like every single day of 2020.  That said, I know how to manage doubt - perhaps on an expert level - because dread is one of the gifts (shall we call it?) of my anxiety. I manage a lot of dread. Like, every morning when I wake up. And this has been the case for as much of my life as I can remember.  This dread tries to tell me that things will be hard and maybe I won’t be able to figure them out or get them done or perform at the level I want. This dread leads to a lot of doubt, so I have to call him out as the big fat liar he is. Because I manage anxiety and the accompanying dread on the daily, I am intimately connected to feelings of doubt. I have worked to overcome this doubt with some simple mental reframes that work very predictably well for me - thankfully! After receiving so many compliments on how I’ve powered through the last year, it occurred to me that you are not seeing the full truth (read: doubt) behind my Instagram photos - and that’s not fair.  So, listen in to hear me share more about doubt and the 4 specific simple ways I reframe doubt #everydamnday.
