Hi and welcome back to the skate creative podcast my names Joel Curtis and I’m a Musician and skateboarder. My guest this week is Rob Mathieson Rob is an illustrator ,model maker and animator from East Molesey In Surrey. I talk to Rob about growing up skatebaordiong in London ,working on projects with some of the biggest companies in skateboarding, keeping creatively inspired and refining the art of K9 follow filming. In May 2019 Rob’s close friend Ben Reamers died by suicide. Along with Lucy Reamers, Bens sister Rob and other like minded friends Founded the Ben Reamers foundation. The foundation has helped the skateboard industry to focus more on the mental health of skateboarders and have provided suicide prevention training for skaters from all over the world. Rob has worked on films with skaters , Brian Anderson, Aaron Herrington, Nick Jensen , Fred Gall and many more to hi light the importance of positive mental heath support in the world wide skate community.
