Adventure & Aviation w/ Amanda Harrison

This week my guest is world-leading female adventure pilot and dyslexia advocate Amanda Harrison. Amanda is incredibly passionate about promoting women to work more in STEM fields and aviation, showing them that the sky's the limit! Amanda is in the process of attempting to fly solo in a 1940s biplane from the UK to Darwin in Australia… covering over 9,200 nautical miles, 23 countries over 30 days… all in honour of 1920s aviation pioneer, Amy Johnson. A documentary of Amanda's attempts, Solo2Darwin, is currently in production. Amanda’s also a huge voice for dyslexia advocacy and an all-round BADASS! amandajharrison.com/solo2darwin -- This episode is sponsored by Northern Powerhouse Media.
