Supporting Ukrainian Refugees w/ Tzvi Sperber

This week I'm talking with Tzvi Sperber, director of JRoots. JRoots lead Jewish heritage tours of Europe, and in the wake of the Russian invasion of Ukraine found themselves switching their Poland operation into a full-blown humanitarian aid organisation supporting the millions of Ukrainian refugees flooding into Poland. About two weeks into the war, I asked if they needed volunteers, and they asked if I could help spread the word of what they and others are doing, because they need support. They need more resources, and very few eyes and ears are honed in on what’s going on. This was recorded on March 24th 2022 in Kraków, Poland and over the next 24hrs Tzvi gave me a tour of JRoots' refugee centres, and I was able to record a further 9 mini podcasts, which will be released throughout the rest of this week. JRoots has a "Ukraine Campaign" page so if you want to donate, you can head to jroots.org/donate, and that money goes directly to supporting not only refugees in Poland, but also supplies aid, food and medical equipment to the people still stuck in Ukraine. -- If you'd like to support Sod's Law you can become a Sod's Law patron at patreon.com/sodspod from as little as £1 /$1 a month - there are different tiers including ad-free episodes, giveaways and more!
