Pod 47 - HR Wallingford Sediment Dynamics & Physical Modeling of Monopiles & Seabed Structures with Richard Whitehouse

Professor Richard Whitehouse is a long-serving SUT member who has been involved with our special interest groups on Environmental Forces & Offshore Site Investigation and Geotechnics. His specialist area is understanding sediment dynamics around seabed structures such as wind farm monopiles. In this interview, with our former CEO, Steve Hall, Richard talks about how HR Wallingford constructs physical scale models of these sort of structures, to test using specialist flume tanks. Listen to our first interview with HR Wallingford here, where Laboratory Manager David Todd talks about how they solve the World's most complex water challenges.
