This episode of the You and Me Podcast spotlights REAL BRIDE Bridie Mancuso and delves into her gorgeous Bryon Bay wedding with now husband Micky.How they met is a moment of contention - dependent on who you ask, however moving in together in only 8 weeks after meeting, their engagement came on their three year anniversary, amongst the broad beans in the veggie patch at his grandparents family home.A year long engagement allowed Bridie to find her dream venue, while on holiday in Byron Bay and one look at Deux Belettes - she got that incredible feeling that this space was the one for them.Being from a different state, and as a couple - two very different people (Bridie, the free spirit, Micky the excel guru) Bridie had a planner to allow her to be able to focus on the creative side, while they took over the technical and logistical elements.Including suppliers such as Three Blue Ducks, Joey and Jase and Nikau Florals, Bridie made sure that the focus was on the look and feel of the venue and the vibe and ambience for the guests.A relaxed and romantic day, Bride and Micky wanted to create a stress free celebration, which allowed them to enjoy the day with their loved ones, a destination wedding allowing them to stretch the time with them, and make the most of the magical surroundings. Bridie lets us know that planning a wedding is an incredible learning experience for a couple - however compromise is key, and make sure you are picking your battles when faced - a relaxed approach will allow you to enjoy the moment even more!
