While in prison Brother Conway started a labor union and several programs such as literacy and political awareness for the incarcerated men inside. Since his release Eddie is the author of The Greatest Threat, The Black Panther Party and COINTELPRO (iAMWE 2009) and co-author of Marshall Law, The Life and Times of a Baltimore Black Panther (AK Press, 2011) and is an executive producer for The Real News Network.
