Olivier Le Guen is originally from France, and currently living in Mexico. He’s been training for only a few years (3), during which time, and holds the rank of Ikkyu in Kendo (soon shodan) and shodan in Iaido (soon nidan!). In this wide-ranging conversation, we talked about being an adult and starting (again) in Budo and how Olivier is approaching the practice and history of budo, especially kendo, iaido and naginata. Olivier has produced many articles and videos that reveal the deep culture from which our arts originate.
