The Hebraic Book of Revelation Intro (b) My understanding and teaching of the book of Revelation is: That the eschatological consummation falls on the present according to the biblical interpretation of prophecy, it’s to be interpreted by that generation now, impending, shortly to pass. 2 Pet 1:19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts. Amos knew this and when he prophecies the impending historical judgment of Israel at the hands of the Assyrians it’s called the Day of יהוה (Am. 5:18, 27) Isaiah pictured the overthrow of Babylon in apocalyptic language as though it were the end of the very world. (Isa 13:1). Zephaniah described a historical visitation as the Day of יהוה which would consume the entire earth and its inhabitants (1:2-18). Joel from historical plagues of locust and drought into the eschatological judgments of the Day of יהוה . There’ s a distinct genre of Jewish-Christian writings called ‘apocalyptic’ which are called ‘tracts for hard times’ which exhibit similar literary characteristics to the Revelation including symbolism but they differ on ONE GREAT POINT: their apocalyptic predictions were NOT fulfilled. Jewish apocalypses like Enoch and Jubilees are absolutely worthless for future events which of course includes calendar. Eu-pocalypse is happening backwards: Instead of Rev 6, conquest, war, famine and death… We’ve got them riding through the EU backwards death: the annihilation of European races too lackluster for love – failure to breed. the demographic death spiral. famine: the social system with its cradle to grave coddling is about to collapse. (have you wondered why people living with dead bodies keeps appearing in the news so frequently in Europe? It’s so the family can keep getting the pension and social benefits….they can’t afford to give up the corpse – and a 1000 Euros a month.) Welfare addiction is a demographic reality. war: bloody civil unrest as the benefits run out and the breadlines rise. finally conquest: the re-colonization of Europe by the Mohammedans. Does Revelation picture a land of be-turbaned prophet barbarians? Conclusion of interpretation: imminent judgment is seen as a type of, or a prelude to the eschatological judgment by the bibles true prophets. The two are often blended together in disregard for chronology and this is where a Greco-Roman mindset causes most to stumble and fall just as they do with the BoL and BoC polemic. My interpretation is a blending of the preterist and the futurist methods. The beast is both Rome and the eschatological antichrist and any demonic powers which the assembly of the righteous must face in her entire history… Apocalypticism involves a historical-theological problem consisting of 3 elements: the emergence of a righteous remnant who maintained loyalty to the covenanted law/Torah over and against the mood of paganism and compromise. the problem with evil: even Israel was keeping attempting to keep the BoL she was still undergoing national abuse (this problem is later solved by Yahusha and written about by Paul with the ushering in of the BoC) the cessation of prophecy a the very time when the people needed it most. Apocalyptic is dualistic: both historical and temporal. There exist 2 opposing supernatural powers – יהוה and Satan. There are 2 distinct ages: the present one that’s temporal and evil and the one to come that’s timeless and perfectly righteous. The 1st under the temporal control of Satan. The 2nd under the eternal control of יהוה. 2 ages, 2 worlds: the present visible and the perfect world that has existed before the foundation of the world. And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Almaut- Arabic for death, and Jaheem Arabic for Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part o
