Zephaniah the Zealot – Part 3 Zeph 3:1 Woe to her that is filthy and polluted, to the oppressing city! 2 She obeyed not the voice; she received not correction; she trusted not in vuvh; she drew not near to her Elohim.3 Her rulers within her are roaring lions; her judges are evening wolves; they leave no bones until tomorrow. 4 Her prophets are light and treacherous persons: her priests have polluted the Holy Place, they have done violence to the Torah. Gal 3:19 ‘Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made…’ (’till’ Shiloh/Messiah – Gen.49:10). The BoL; the Deuteronomic reforms bore NO fruit did they? All the Deuteronomic reforms, all the added laws for transgression, all the Levitical minuture, all the cries of the prophets went unheeded! What’s the answer? Deut 18:5 יהוה Elohim will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken…I will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him… If the Deuteronomic reforms failed, the Levitical priesthood failed, Josiah’s reforms failed, the prophets voices went unheeded…then what avenue remained for יהוה to gain His people back? Heb 7:12 ‘For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the Torah…7:16 Malki Tzedik is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment…7:18 there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof. 19 For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did. Instead of the liberating it, liberating law which is your and mine Melchizedek reality – religionists always aspire to FORM without SUBSTANCE which leaves a man parched and powerless in faith because: Heb 11:1 faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not yet seen. 2nd Pet 2:19: While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the slaves of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage. 20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of this world through the knowledge of the Master and Savior Yahusha Messiah, and if they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter-end is worse with them than the beginning.  For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law. 5 vuvh is tzadik in the midst of her; He will not do iniquity: every morning He brings His judgments to light, He fails not; but the unjust knows no shame. The wicked “knows no shame”, they turn their shame into pride. 6 I have cut off the nations: their towers are desolate; I made their streets waste, that none passes by: their cities are destroyed, so that there is no man, that there is no inhabitant. 7 I said, Surely you will fear Me, you will receive Torah; so their dwelling should not be cut off, howsoever I punished them: but they rose early, and corrupted all their doings. יהוה will render a prophetic final judgment on the halls of political power (their towers are desolate V.6), the infrastructure will fail because of our laws and rulers, open boarders and social decay. Judah listened to their false prophets rather than יהוה. They listened to the false promises instead of pursuing יהוה. They looked to the State instead of the state of their sin and in doing so that they received the judgment. 8 Therefore wait upon Me, says vuvh, until the day that I rise up to the plunder: for My determination is to gather the nations, that I may assemble all kingdoms, to pour upon them My indignation, even all My fierce anger: for all the earth shall be devoured with the fire of My jealousy. 9 For then will I return to the people a pure clean language, that they may all call upon the Name of vuvh, 8 to serve Him with one accord.
