We asked you guys to send in your questions for us and we did our best to give you honest answers. It was weird speaking German in front of the camera instead of English but this way you get a glimpse into how we normally communicate with each other. Do you guys notice a difference? We hope you all enjoy and those of you who don't speak German don't get too upset! ++German segment starts at 00:07:38 - subtitles available on YouTube++ Check out Josh's "gas station story" here: AMERICAN FLUENT IN GERMAN! ▸ https://youtu.be/gr313Rac0Z8 Timestamps: 0:00 Intro (English)  - 2:37 Improve your German with Lingoda - 7:38 Start of Q&A in German - 8:17 Question 1 - 12:41 Question 2 - 19:01 Question 3 - 22:26 Question 4 - 23:53 Question 5 - 29:17 Question 6 - 38:15 Question 7 - 45:37 Question 8+9 - 55:18 Question 10 - 56:33 Question 11 - 01:01:00 Outro You can also watch this podcast on YouTube or listen on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Podbean, Amazon Music, and iHeart Radio! Om Podcasten

In our podcast “Understanding Train Station”, we (Josh and Feli) explore the intricacies and pitfalls of living between cultures. The title is derived from the German idiom “Ich verstehe nur Bahnhof” which literally translates to “I only understand train station”. Similar to the English saying “It’s Greek to me”, it is used to express a lack of understanding which is an all too common feeling when dealing with another culture and living abroad. Feli (aka “Feli from Germany” on YouTube) is a German living in the U.S. and Josh is probably the most “Germanized” American you’ll ever meet.
