soundpocket: The 24 Solar Terms (Humble Roots Earth Month Programme)
This International Mother Earth Day (22 April) we launched Humble Roots, a month-long public programme highlighting the value and spirit of the farming of our city, which explores the inextricable connection between human, food and nature and reimagine this connection with land through art and culture. Working alongside local agricultural organizations, crafters, farmers and artists, Humble Roots will present a series of workshops, exhibitions, and installations that share local farming stories in a hopeful bid to realize the peaceful coexistence of humans and the planet. As part of the programme, we are delighted to work with local art NGO, soundpocket, presenting a sound installation of field recordings from local farming villages in Hong Kong.
