7 - I Make Abusers Really, Really Angry w/ MAYA ROY

This week we are so excited to welcome MAYA ROY to the What’s Your Safe Word? podcast! Maya is the Chief Executive Officer of YWCA Canada and was recently named a Recipient of Canada’s Top 40 Under 40 for 2019. She is a diversity specialist with 22 years of experience in a variety of sectors in public policy development, public health, adult education and social work. Maya was a member of the Gender Equality Advisory Council for Canada’s G7 Presidency, she is currently part of Young Global Leaders with the World Economic Forum, and she sits on the board of Women’s College Hospital. After our check-in, Nneka leads a conversation with Shelleena and Maya to learn more about Maya’s various roles, how the two met, and the importance of strategic advocacy.

This week we’re drinking Famille Perrin Réserve Côtes du Rhône Rosé. We gave this wine a buzz rating of 3.14/5.
