Facile

Facile is an adjective that means easily accomplished or attained. The Latin word facilis (fa CHEEL ees) means ‘easy to do.’ The word has retained more-or-less the same meaning after being imported into English. At first I thought sorting the files would be a facile task, but I was wrong. It wound up being the most difficult part about working in the accounting department.
