Glower

Glower is a verb that means to look with annoyance or anger. The origin of our word of the day is unclear, but it does seem to be derived from a middle English word for ‘to be overcast.’ I didn’t know what was on Arne’s mind at the meeting, but I’m pretty sure he didn’t like what I had to say. He seemed to glower at me during the entire proceeding.
