Rejoinder

Rejoinder is a noun that refers to a reply or answer to a question. With its origin in Middle English, our word of the day can be used in formal or legal contexts, but it’s not limited to such formality. I really hate being called to answer a question in biology class. It seems every time a question comes my way, I have no rejoinder.
