Like many Directors of Photography, Alexa Wolf came to cinematography, in New York City after working in camera, grip & electric departments. Now she’s a DoP on narrative features and commercial projects, with a focus on supporting womens’ and #LGBTQ stories.
She photographed a short for the 2019 Brooklyn Film Festival titled “The Gathering” looking at how women have been marginalized in the film industry, gaining more light recently amidst the #MeToo movement.
