The Profiling Evil Podcast delves into unsolved criminal cases from around the world. We look into the mind of the predator and talk about crime motivation, victim selection and behavior. Some episodes examine how investigators work and how they capitalize on mistakes made by the offender.  Your host, Mike King, retired after a distinguished law enforcement career where he served as Chief of Staff to Utah Attorney General Jan Graham and Weber County Attorney Reed M. Richards. He learned policing in the Ogden Utah Police Department where he served in patrol, traffic (motors) enforcement and SWAT. As an investigator, he led task forces and pursued serial predators throughout his career.He served as co-chair of the FBI’s ViCAP (Violent Criminal Apprehension Program) National Advisory Board and as Director of UTAP, the Utah Criminal Tracking and Analysis Project. During the 2002 Winter Olympic Games in Salt Lake City, he worked in the intelligence section.After retirement from public service, he went to work at Environmental Systems Research Institute where he consulted with law enforcement around the world on intelligence gathering, real-time crime reporting and major event management. He retired in 2024 to pursue Profiling Evil fulltime. Mike is an internationally recognized speaker and trainer, adjunct professor and visiting scholar at several accredited universities.
